For 30 years now commUnity Care of the Northeast has worked with seniors and people with disabilities. We offer the services that let these people stay in their homes. They do not have to go to an assisted living facility.
Over those 30 years, we’ve learned a lot. We’ve had to change to adapt to new laws and requirements. We’ve seen a change in the people who need our services. Every time we’ve changed, every time we’d had to adapt to new regulations, we kept one thing in mind: the people we work for.
That’s what really matters. Our ability to step in and help people manage their daily lives, while living at home, is our raison d’être. This is not a job. It is a calling.
Over the years we’ve improved our standards and gotten better at what we do. We’ve incorporated new technologies and see older tech slide away.
No matter what we do, it’s all aimed at helping people stay in their homes and live life to the fullest.
For these 30 years, we’ve stayed true to that mission set by our founder Jean E. Langenbach, RN, BS. CommUnity Care was started with the goal of helping people age in their own homes.
What does all this mean to our community and the people we serve?
We’re trusted. For 30 years we’ve delivered exactly what we promised. Our clients know they can depend on us. They know we are there for them.
Our volunteers know what is expected of them. Our volunteers are placed where they feel most comfortable and where their abilities will get the best use.
Our community supporters know they investment in us is not wasted. They have seen the difference we make. They know their donations will be used exactly as promised.
We’ve been around for 30 years and we get better and stronger every year. We’re in this for the long haul. We’ve taken care of several generations now. It’s what we love to do.
We’re respected because we do what we promise. We’ve welcomed inspections, the media and visitors to come and see what we do. All of them leave with a greater appreciation of what we do and how we do it. Many of these people have also become volunteers and supporters.
