Being able to live out your life in your own home is a goal everyone shares. Sometimes, it’s not as easy as wishing. Sometimes, people need help to stay in their own home. Since 1985, Community Care of the Northeast has helped people in the Philly area stay in their own home for as long as possible. We help senior citizens and disabled people live independently by giving them the support they need in their home.
• Dementia Care and Support
• Short Procedure Service
We are able to do what we do thanks (in large part) to the massive support the Philadelphia community gives to Community Care. We cannot do it without this generous support.
Support comes in many ways. Some people contribute direct funds to help with our expenses. We take cash, checks and PayPal. Some people leave us a bequest in their will. Any amount helps.
We are also a United Way agency. When you give to the United Way, part of your contribution goes to Community Care. The United Way only gives to organizations and groups that try to make communities a better place. The United Way carefully vets all groups that it contributes to.
Program sponsorship is another way to give. One of our most popular programs is the musical events we have for people with Alzheimer’s or other dementia. Music helps trigger good feelings and brings back warm memories. If you want to sponsor a music program, or you have an idea for another program, we’d love to talk to you.
It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is not far away and just behind that comes Christmas. The holiday gift program connects you to an elderly person over these holidays. Contact us and we’ll give you a client’s wish list. You can either shop for items on that list or provide a store gift card so they can go shopping for themselves.
However you choose to give, know that you are making a real difference in someone’s life. Community Care of the Northeast is committed to helping as many people as we can. Your contributions make our work go farther.
